Cowboys Don’t Always Ride Horses

Cowboys don’t always ride horses

Or wear beat up chaps but you know who they are

You probably can’t keep him from driving a truck

‘stead of riding in some fancy car

If you don’t understand him he’ll still have your back,

he’ll see it right through to the end

He won’t run away with his tail ‘tween his legs,

yeah, a cowboy’s the best kind of man

Singin’ “yeehaw I’m movin’ along down the trail,

I’m comin’ home soon ‘round the bend

I’ll always be keepin’ a lookout for you–

I’m there when you’re need me again”

Yeah, a cowboy’s the best kind of man

He never says two words when one word’ll do

but that one word means more than the rest

Whenever he does speak you listen

because it just seems like he always knows best

When someone needs somethin’ he don’t hesitate,

he shows up like it’s part of the plan

He comes and he goes without askin’ for thanks,

yeah, a cowboy’s the best kind of man

Singin’ “yeehaw I’m movin’ along down the trail,

I’m comin’ home soon ‘round the bend

I’ll always be keepin’ a lookout for you–

I’m there when you’re need me again”

Yeah, a cowboy’s the best kind of man

He always takes care of his people

whatever it takes, it’s not somethin’ you earn

He’ll love you forever cause that’s what he does

and he asks nothin’ back in return

You work every day tryin’ to make him feel proud

and what you give’s always enough

And the way that he feels you can see in his eyes,

yeah a cowboy’s a best kind of love

Singin’ “yippee ki-yay don’t you worry my dear,

the times ahead, they might be rough

But I’ll never not be keepin’ lookout for you–

even though it might be from above”

Yeah, a cowboy’s the best kind of love

“Yeehaw I’m movin’ along down the trail,

I’m comin’ home soon ‘round the bend

I’ll always be keepin’ a lookout for you–

you know this ain’t goodbye, it’s just and”

Yeah, a cowboy’s the best kind of man
